Groups/Classes:
Standard Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) - this 90 min weekly group class is for individuals who are new (or returning) to DBT skills and hope to increase their ability to regulate their emotions by learning DBT skills of Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation, Interpersonal Effectiveness & Walking the Middle Path. These group classes are mixed gender and typically separated by specific age groups.

Advanced/Graduate DBT Group Class- This group class is for individuals who have successfully completed a standard DBT skills group and would like a refresher or want to learn how to increase effective use of skills in their everyday lives. This group is facilitated by our staff yet lead by the needs of the individuals enrolled. Therefore, order of skill presentation may vary. Each individual must:
1. Attend and participate in weekly or bi-weekly individual therapy
2. Have completed at least two full cycles of standard DBT skills group/class
3. Have behavior control of risky or life-threatening behaviors
4. Actively use skills to navigate life's challenges
5. Commit to building a life worth living
Parent Skills Groups
These 12-week groups are for parents of individuals who are battling with mental health difficulties. These individual can be young children, teens/adolescents, young adults or older adults (35+). Many, if not all parents are hoping to provide their children with the best life experiences possible. While this is true, there are things that are out of our control. What we at Wise Roads believe is that learning skills, tools and methods of taking care of ourselves can be the most important step in continuing to support our loved ones.
These groups are based on the DBT skills of Core Mindfulness, Distress Tolerance, Emotion Regulation and Interpersonal Effectiveness & Walking the Middle Path.
Fertility Support Group
These groups are for woman who are experiencing infertility, embarking on IUI/IVF, Surrogacy/GC journey.
Facing the prospect of not being able to carry a child can be a very devastating experience for many woman and their families/partners. Having a space to openly discuss this and receive non-judgmental support can make the difficult journey a bit more bearable. These groups will be led by women who have walked along this journey and understand the necessity of a community.
